Healing Balm

You'll definitely want to have this one on hand!

You'll be able to smell when the oil has gone rancid! Throw it out and make a new batch!

Ingredients

*Eczema Blend*- safe for kids too

20 drops Lavender

15 drops Roman Chamomile or Blue Tansy

15 drops Cedarwood or Copaiba

It's been working wonders for many people that I know that are dealing with eczema & psoriasis.

Just lather on as needed!

Instructions

1. Add a few inches of water to a pot and place on your stove over medium low heat.

2. Place a heat safe glass bowl on the pot and add your beeswax, cocoa butter or shea butter. Allow them to melt - this takes 15 or more minutes.

3. Once the beeswax and shea butter have melted, add the remaining oils (except essential oils) and let melt - You don't have to stir - the oils will naturally blend together.

4. Once everything is melted and liquid, remove the bowl from the heat and let sit for 5 mins, then add in your essential oils.

5. Pour liquid into little 4oz mason jars or 2oz tins (I like using the Mason jars - this recipe will fill 2 of these) and place on the counter for a few hours to harden OR you can speed up the hardening process by placing the jars in the refrigerator for at least a half hour.

Notes

If you struggle with patience as much as me, it will take a ton of willpower to not crank up the heat to make the beeswax and shea butter melt faster. But just be patient because we want to preserve the beneficial, healing enzymes in these ingredients. So we have to melt them SLOWLY over a low heat so we don't harm them 🙂 Store in the fridge if it starts to melt.

If you would like a softer salve, use 2 tablespoons of beeswax instead of 3.
